How to Choose the Right Hair Straightener
Not every straightener suits every hair type. Fine hair burns at the temperatures thick, curly hair needs, so heat control matters more than wattage.
1. Plate material
Ceramic plates heat evenly and are gentler on thin hair. Titanium heats faster and holds temperature better for thick or coarse hair.
2. Adjustable temperature
Look for a range of roughly 150-230°C. Start low - you can always go up.
3. Plate width
1 inch plates suit short to medium hair. Go wider only if your hair is past the shoulder.
4. Heat up time
A good straightener is ready in under a minute. Anything slower wastes your morning.
